Position Overview: The Senior .NET Developer role at VC5 Consulting offers a unique opportunity for professionals to leverage their expertise in a fast-paced and innovative environment. As a key member of the Product Development team, the Senior .NET Developer will be responsible for crafting both user-facing web interfaces and the underlying database architecture of the company's platform. This role encompasses the entire Software Development Life Cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Core responsibilities include: Designing and implementing cloud-native applications and APIs utilizing .NET, .NET Core, and containerization technologies.
  • Creating and structuring database components, including tables, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Developing processes and queries for data import and export on a scheduled basis or upon request.
  • Building and sustaining mobile hybrid applications, web applications, and web services.
  • Enhancing application scalability, making architectural decisions, and applying both synchronous and asynchronous design patterns to deliver high-quality code efficiently.
  • Producing robust software that undergoes unit testing, code reviews, and regular check-ins.
  • Identifying and promoting opportunities for productivity enhancements.
  • Acquiring new software tools and skills as necessary.
  • Engaging with clients to gather requirements and clarify development requests.
  • Proactively proposing ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Participating in the organization's Continual Improvement Program to meet ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards by adhering to Quality Policy procedures and achieving QMS and ISMS objectives.
  • All employees are expected to report any security-related issues or potential risks to the appropriate teams.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in web development using ASP.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with ASP.NET.
  • At least 3 years of experience with VB.NET and/or C#.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with JavaScript.
  • At least 1 year of experience with jQuery.
  • 3+ years of experience in Database Development using T-SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with the Azure Cloud platform for a minimum of 2 years.
  • 3+ years of experience with .NET Core/.NET 5.
  • Experience in developing web services using REST, JSON, and XML.
  • Familiarity with MVC and Xamarin is advantageous.
  • A strong grasp of OOP design principles, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Understanding of software engineering methodologies.
  • Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrated initiative and capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adept at thriving in a dynamic work environment.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A desire to take on increasing levels of leadership responsibility.
