Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Overview of the Job
Salary:$120,000 per year (estimated)

This is a contract role for an experienced Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Joulé. As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental and safety matters.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve EHS programs, including emergency management, lockout/tagout procedures, hazardous communication, ergonomics, illness and injury prevention.
- Conduct EH&S assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop EHS procedures for new processes, equipment, chemicals, tasks, and other areas as needed.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence and future incidents.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, engineering, facilities, labs, and R&D teams.
- Collaborate with site EHS Points of Contact to ensure effective implementation of EHS programs.
- Review and communicate hazards associated with chemicals and ensure proper waste disposal and handling practices are followed.
- Design and execute employee training programs on topics such as HazCom, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, lab safety, ergonomics, etc.
- Collect and maintain EHS data and metrics for site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee the Emergency Response Program to ensure readiness and preparedness for emergency scenarios.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; 4+ years of post-graduate experience in a related field preferred;
Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry is a plus;
Managing consultants, contractors, and vendors is an advantage.
