Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to contribute to our operations at Tree of Life Products. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in facilitating the effective management of our warehouse and production workflows by handling materials, overseeing inventory, and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Material Movement: Skillfully and safely transport materials and products within the warehouse and production zones utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and various material handling tools.
  • Inventory Oversight: Aid in monitoring and controlling inventory levels, which includes performing regular counts, updating inventory records, and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Shipping & Receiving Duties: Efficiently load and unload delivery vehicles, confirm the accuracy of shipments, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Order Processing: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare materials for dispatch in accordance with order requirements.
  • Safety Protocols: Comply with all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Equipment Care: Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on material handling equipment to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow team members to uphold an organized and efficient workspace and assist with additional tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling position is preferred.
  • Certification for operating forklifts and other material handling machinery is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Capability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for inventory management and reporting.
  • Flexibility to work in various environmental conditions.
