Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients at MaineHealth Pediatrics office. They greet and check-in patients, collect payments, assist with necessary paperwork, and fulfill other customer service or administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  2. Collect payments and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  3. Assist with necessary paperwork, including registration and insurance verification.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient operations.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  2. Six months to one-year medical office related experience and/or training preferred.
  3. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  4. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
