Job Overview

Position Summary:

  • Oversee, assess, and motivate a team of hourly employees engaged in the production of manufactured goods, while organizing workflows to achieve quality and daily output targets.
  • Ensure that safety, quality, and productivity goals are consistently met by coaching standardized procedures, confirming that production lines operate safely, efficiently, and yield high-quality products.
  • Strive to surpass personal, team, and organizational objectives by holding oneself and the team to elevated performance standards through a leadership approach focused on service.
  • Supervisors must be adaptable to work across all three crew schedules in the facility, which rotate every three months, and be available for overtime as necessary.
  • Occasional additional production shifts may occur on weekends, and supervisors will be assigned to support these as required.
  • The three crew schedules are structured as follows, accounting for a half-hour pre-shift arrival:
  • A-Crew: Monday-Thursday 5/5:30am-4:30pm; B-Crew: Tuesday-Friday 5/5:30pm-4:30am; C-Crew: Friday/Saturday 5/5:30pm-4:30pm and Sunday/Monday 5/5:30pm-4:30am.
  • It is essential for supervisors to arrive prior to the start of their assigned shifts and remain afterward to ensure accurate employee compensation.
  • There may be instances when production continues beyond the scheduled end of the shift.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging and high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communicator who actively engages with hourly team members, leadership, business partners, and clients.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement, applying innovative solutions with a customer-centric approach.

Experience Needed:

  • Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or manufacturing role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Experience in safety and quality assurance.
  • Six Sigma certification (Black or Green Belt) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with constraint management principles.
  • Previous experience managing a unionized workforce is advantageous.

Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
