Aveanna Healthcare Private Duty Nurse RN Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse RN to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Private Duty Nurse RN, you will provide one-on-one care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes, assisting them with transitioning from the hospital and providing the continuous care needed to remain at home with their loved ones.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Document care provided in a timely and compliant manner
  • Teach and train family members on health promotion and disease management
  • Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required, and obtain cosignature of Case Manager on all verbal orders
  • Follow up with physicians, clients, family members, staff, and Case Manager on client problems, concerns, and/or changes in client condition
Qualifications:
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation
