We are currently seeking a Licensed MRI Imaging Specialist

Focus Staff is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic MRI Imaging Specialist. Candidates should be prepared to foster a welcoming, positive, and professional atmosphere. Contract Assignment – 13 Weeks (Temporary)

Candidates must demonstrate exceptional efficiency and meticulous attention to detail, along with a comprehensive understanding of procedures and patient safety. Compassion and sensitivity are essential traits for this role. The ideal candidate will also exhibit critical thinking skills and the ability to respond swiftly in emergencies. Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of continuous recent experience as an MRI Imaging Specialist, fully proficient in all duties required of the role.
  • Valid license in the required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Must be fully proficient in MRI and knowledgeable about the necessary protocols for performing complex MRI procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to clients and colleagues.
  • Capacity to learn applications relevant to the position.
  • At least 2 years of hospital experience in a clinical setting; EP preferred.

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to generate cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Under the guidance of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care through efficient and safe processes.
  • Conduct patient studies according to established protocols, including positioning specified coils near the area of interest.
  • Operate imaging and other equipment to provide quality diagnostic services, including inputting commands for scan sequences into the computer and adjusting transmitters and receivers.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, addressing any concerns with a high degree of tact and courtesy.
  • Ensure safety for patients and staff by explaining safety protocols, requesting the removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Train and orient new hires, including MRI Imaging Specialists, students, and trainees.
