About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Relationship Manager to join our lending team at Farm Credit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering sound credit and financial services to our customers in the agricultural industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Develop new business opportunities by actively pursuing new customers and expanding existing relationships through proactive research and matching of bank products and services to customer needs.
  • Credit Analysis: Interview applicants, gather, analyze, and reconcile complete, accurate credit and financial data, including complete applications using the five credit factors under the guidelines of differential analysis.
  • Credit Decision Making: Determine credit risk and make timely and accurate decisions, establishing and renegotiating credit terms as necessary.
  • Loan Origination: Independently originate single entity loans up to delegated authority, communicating credit decisions to loan applicants within required timeframes.
  • Loan Servicing: Service loans in a portfolio to retain high loan level quality, reviewing progress periodically and making periodic calls on loan customers to evaluate management, inspect collateral, detect signs of potential financial problems, or uncover opportunities for additional lending.
  • Delinquency Management: Monitor delinquent reports and counsel with customers to bring accounts current, guiding customers seeking solutions to financial problems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Generally, two to five years of related experience in sales, commercial lending, the agriculture industry, or financially related experience.
  • Preferred Skills: Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills, able to manage challenging customer situations, basic knowledge of agricultural lending and related financial products and services, and selling skills.
