About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at the State Group, a leading provider of comprehensive multi-trade industrial contracting services. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our success by preparing cost estimates for various projects, including conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Review project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Draft requests for quotations to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Utilize estimating software to perform precise cost calculations.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve company objectives.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent trade experience and 2+ years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
  • Experience in developing electrical service quotes/estimates in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of electrical sub-trades scope of work.
  • Solid understanding of electrical drawings and the ability to interpret schematics and P&IDs.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel); knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, contractors, and other business partners.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple competing priorities and timelines.
