Position: Customer Service Banker

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to become a vital part of our dedicated team.

The Customer Service Banker plays a crucial dual role, encompassing both Teller and Customer Support responsibilities.

This role includes a diverse range of duties, such as:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for our clients, essential for ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Executing standard transactions (processing deposits, cashing checks, managing withdrawals, etc.).
  • Performing tasks accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Participating in cross-training for account openings and other functions to facilitate daily branch operations.
  • Identifying customer needs and recommending new products and services.
  • Going above and beyond to foster trust, loyalty, and satisfaction among customers.
  • Adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Mitigating risks in every transaction and identifying fraudulent activities to avert losses.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and providing pertinent information.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients both in-person and via phone.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Prior experience in cash handling.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in mathematics.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic devices (e.g., cash drawers, receipt validators, money counters).
  • Ability to engage with customers and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
First Midwest Bank offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Work hours may vary based on branch scheduling. Availability to work until 6 PM is required.
