Job Summary

The Mowing Foreperson is a key role within our landscape maintenance division, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our residential mowing crews. This position requires a strong leader who can manage a team, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of a residential 2-3 person mowing crew, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial mowing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and extending the lifespan of the equipment.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, addressing their concerns and resolving any issues that may arise during lawn maintenance services.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of mowing logs, crew activities, and customer interactions, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing weather conditions, customer requests, and other unexpected situations, using problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential mowing, with a strong understanding of commercial mowing equipment and techniques.
  • Equipment Operation: Proficient in the operation of commercial mowing equipment, including Exmark, Toro, and Scag machines.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, crew members, and other stakeholders.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, bending, and working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
