As a Medical Laboratory Specialist at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, you will play a critical role in the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.
Job Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient specimens
- Interpret test results and report findings to healthcare providers
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory results
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Baccalaureate degree in a relevant science preferred
- One year clinical laboratory internship preferred
- MT(ASCP) or equivalent registration, or MT eligible under Medicare laboratory regulations
This is a second shift position with rotating weekends. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide excellent patient care.
