Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to oversee our inventory management processes. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of inventory records and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels.
- Address and resolve discrepancies related to inventory accuracy, including mis-slots and quality issues.
- Collaborate with management to develop and refine inventory control policies.
- Prepare and distribute inventory reports and recaps in a timely manner.
- Monitor and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including HACCP and SQF guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with corporate retention policies.
- Perform basic slotting functions and assist in the training of new staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment is preferred.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, particularly in inventory management, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and inventory tracking methods.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems and RF technology.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Skills:
- Ability to interpret location codes and product information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive approach with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to foster effective working relationships within a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in varying temperature environments, including refrigerated areas.
- Capability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and operating equipment.
- Consistent use of safety gear, including approved safety shoes.
