Position Overview:

The KU Wichita Medical Practice Association is in search of a committed individual to enhance our Internal Medicine Department. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to delivering exceptional, patient-focused care in collaboration with our Physicians and Residents. Your key duties will encompass addressing patient communications, facilitating care coordination, administering treatments, and supporting various medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address patient inquiries and prioritize requests for clinical guidance
  • Oversee medication refills and secure insurance approvals
  • Coordinate provider directives and follow up on pending requests
  • Execute various care-related tasks such as immunizations, phlebotomy, and wound management
  • Support patient education initiatives and chronic care management services
  • Engage in clinic process enhancement activities and team discussions
  • Ensure smooth clinic operations and maintain precise documentation
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Conduct population health management tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Kansas licensed RN or LPN
  • IV certification is advantageous
  • Associate's degree in nursing
  • A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is required
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is beneficial
