Job Description

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing recommendations for the development of knowledge management systems and offering results by designing and implementing knowledge management process improvement solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Knowledge Management Systems: Produce, for Government review and approval, knowledge management standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other knowledge management documents in accordance with standards from all services and government agencies.
  • Facilitate Collaboration: Facilitate the Knowledge Management Working Group (KMWG) using a variety of techniques and tools to enable collaboration to occur, including disseminating information received to individuals or to the entire working group.
  • Provide Analysis: Provide position papers containing analysis that provide assessments regarding the effectiveness of current organizational SOPs and processes.
  • Publish Minutes: Publish minutes to the SharePoint knowledge management portal site, disseminate minutes via email to designated Government personnel from the KMWG, and provide recommendations for the follow-on KMWG.
  • Conduct Surveys and Interviews: Conduct surveys, interviews, and provide the results of each KMWG to enable methods of sharing knowledge both within and outside of the organization as well as vertically and laterally.
  • Participate in Meetings: Participate in meetings to ensure requirements and design concepts are accomplished through the creation of governance and maintenance plans, custom workflows and site themes, SharePoint content management with Microsoft Office applications, and the transfer of content from shared drives and other repositories to SharePoint.
  • Implement Knowledge Management Practice: Implement the knowledge management practice by leveraging SharePoint and other knowledge management tools as enabling technology, where applicable.
  • Provide Recommendations: Provide formats and recommendations in the management and use of SharePoint from any prioritized recommendations which facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Provide Status Updates: Provide status updates to the client including actual versus planned task progress made, schedule status, surveys/interviews conducted, meetings attended, issues, and recommendations.
  • Identify Trends and Opportunities: Identify planned versus actual tasks completed within the previous week in these status updates, and provide knowledge management operations trends and strategic communications support.
Requirements:
  • Active Top-Secret US Government Clearance: Must have an Active Top-Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top-Secret.
  • Knowledge Management Experience: Minimum 5 years of knowledge management analysis experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in SharePoint 2016/2019 and Office 365; Java, VISIO, Power Apps, Power Automate, and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge Management Tools: Experience in understanding knowledge management analyst tools.
  • Collaborative Environments: Experience in understanding collaborative environments, records management, and metadata.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge Management Certification: Must have Knowledge Management (KM) Certification.
  • Security Plus Certification: Must have Security Plus certification and have completed a Site Collection Administration training course equivalent to Microsoft MS55033.
