Laboratory Specialist
Job Overview:The Laboratory Specialist is responsible for the processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results in all areas of the clinical laboratory at Wayne General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintains laboratory records and follows laboratory policies and procedures;
- Maintains quality control practices in the Laboratory;
- Reports to the Lab Director.
- ASCP Certification is preferred;
- Possesses physical demands that include walking, standing, or sitting for twelve hours, lifting moderate weights, and having good visual acuity, auditory, and linguistic ability;
- Demonstrates mental demands that include performing as a team member, functioning well under stress, cooperating with others, following directions, and demonstrating initiative.
$40,000 - $60,000 per year.
