Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member in Computer Science to join our team at College of the Canyons. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching computer science courses and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Teach computer science courses to students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and success.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and program initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Computer Science.
  • OR Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering.
  • OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND master's degree in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting, or engineering.
  • OR Bachelor's in engineering AND master's degree in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration.
  • OR Bachelor's in mathematics AND master's degree in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration.
  • OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND master's degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems.
  • OR Equivalency: An official transcript documenting successful completion of any Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education AND official transcripts documenting successful completion of 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, a minimum of which must be 12 graduate level semester units.
