Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Computer Science to join our faculty pool. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching computer science courses at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach computer science courses to students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in curriculum development and program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and a Master's degree in a related field such as Mathematics, Cybernetics, Business Administration, or Engineering. Alternatively, applicants may qualify through equivalency, which requires an official transcript documenting successful completion of a Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education and 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, with a minimum of 12 graduate level semester units.

As an Adjunct Instructor in Computer Science, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and contribute to the development of our computer science program. We offer a competitive salary rate of $88.30 per hour and a flexible schedule that includes Monday through Friday (day and evening) and Saturday classes.
