As a Flux Core Fabricator, you will be instrumental in executing high-quality welds on substantial maritime vessels. Your proficiency in Flux Core Arc Welding will be essential as you undertake various welding tasks. Previous experience in shipyard settings is advantageous, as all candidates must successfully complete necessary welding assessments to adhere to our rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute welds in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Utilize hand and power tools typical in the welding industry, including shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
  • Select and install torches, filler rods, and flux in accordance with welding specifications.
  • Prepare and secure components for assembly using precision tools.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments using flux-cored arc techniques.

In addition, you will be responsible for identifying equipment malfunctions or material defects and reporting them to supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a custom fabrication environment preferred.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and 3D schematics.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and navigating confined spaces.
