Key Responsibilities

  • Provides senior level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases, integrating third-party products.
  • Translates technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients, writing programs, developing code, testing artifacts, and producing reports.
  • Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule, providing follow-up production support, submitting change control requests, and documenting.
  • Thoroughly understands software development methodology, development architecture standards, and trains and mentors staff with less experience, resolving elevated issues.
  • Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues, explaining technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients, performing systems analysis activities.
  • Thoroughly understands client business functions and technology needs, having a broad understanding of Vanguard's technologies, tools, and applications, including those that interface with business areas and systems.
  • Interfaces with cross-functional team members, communicating systems issues at the appropriate technical level for each audience.
  • Thoroughly understands and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures, verifying that deliverables meet requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least one year of development experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Java / Spring, Typescript / Javascript, Appsync, Lambda, Backend / Datastores (RDS / DyamoDB / SQL / PostGres), Eventing (Steams, SNS/SQS), Cloudwatch, Apache Flink, AWS Kinesis, AWS EventBridge, AWS Simple Workflow.
