About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team at Office Depot. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and maintaining a positive and productive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Centric Experience:
    • Provide proactive and personalized support to customers, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience.
    • Utilize sales programs and product knowledge to promote sales and drive revenue growth.
    • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment, adhering to company standards.
    • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of freight, inventory, and sales transactions.
    • Support visual merchandising and display standards, ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
  • Print and Tech Expertise:
    • Develop and maintain personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided.
    • Continuously educate yourself on print and technology products and services, staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Sales Techniques:
    • Apply sales principles and techniques to drive sales growth and revenue.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices, supporting the company's loss prevention efforts.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required, but a willingness to learn and develop skills is essential.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use technology for information and to access necessary resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to read, count, and write accurately, with a focus on documentation, training tools, and inventory management.
