We are a well-established and reputable commercial construction company based in Loudon County Virginia seeking an experienced Construction Project Director to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the construction workflow process from origination to closeout;
  • Meet with Owners, Design Professionals and stakeholders to determine project requirements;
  • Acquire and manage building permits and regulatory prerequisites;
  • Visit project sites to assure safety, quality, cleanliness and managed scope of work;
  • Evaluate projects for constructability and value-engineer cost savings;
  • Create critical path project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project software;
  • Drive project performance by updating schedules and identifying impacts caused by changes to the critical path;
  • Negotiate contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders to address project goals;
  • Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions;

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a construction superintendent in commercial construction;
  • Knowledge of commercial construction practices, techniques, and materials;
  • Strong leadership and management skills with ability to supervise and motivate a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to quickly identify and resolve issues on site;
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and other safety requirements;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project management software;

Compensation:

$115K+ salary, 401K plan, health, dental, vision insurance, bonus and car allowance.
