Job Title: Asset Protection Specialist

At The Home Depot, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our customers and associates. As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, while also supporting safety and environmental program compliance in your assigned store or multiple stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify incidents of theft and fraud, and review CCTV and exception reports to minimize loss to the Company.
  • Monitor the store's physical security, audit Electronic Article Surveillance, and drive a shrink elimination culture in the store.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, and interact with law enforcement and testify in criminal and civil court actions.
  • Report any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to yourself, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.

Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; PT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 2 hours per month, whichever is greater.

Sick time (Seattle): Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; PT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 2 hours per month, whichever is greater.
