Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Respiratory Therapist

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist to work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Job SummaryThis 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to provide life-saving care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patient respiratory status and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with colleagues and medical staff
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an ICU setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
