Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
  • Utilize advanced design software to strategize and implement chemical and fuel systems for testing environments.
  • Collaborate with systems personnel to guarantee compliance with propellant specifications.
  • Draft and evaluate work assignments for technical teams.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and provide guidance to technician teams.
  • Act as a pivotal member of the Test Team, contributing to project success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the assembly crew to enhance teamwork.
  • Work autonomously while effectively communicating project updates.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $145,000 - $205,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include healthcare, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams.
  • Expertise in evaluating materials for compatibility with propulsion testing.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Familiarity with piping systems and related components.
  • Demonstrated experience in propulsion systems testing.
  • Skilled in drafting and revising test protocols and work authorizations.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.

Education and Experience:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in engineering design software and technical documentation is essential.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be capable of working at various heights and depths.
  • Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
  • Ability to perform in extreme temperature conditions.

Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to obtain DOD Secret Clearance.
