Job Description
The Department of Health Informatics & Information Management at Texas State University seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching one to four courses per semester, with eligibility for annual reappointment contingent upon satisfactory performance evaluations and continuity of funding.
Applicants should have a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field and previous teaching experience is preferred. RHIA, RHIT, CPHIMS, or other relevant certification is also desirable.
Interested individuals should submit a current CV, letter of interest outlining specific academic and professional experiences relevant for appointment, and unofficial transcripts. As part of our application process, we are requesting contact information for three academic references who can provide information about the applicant's skills and experiences.
Candidates selected for hire will be required to provide official transcripts from all degree-granting universities.
