Position Overview:

The Department of Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Full-time Faculty member for the role of Assistant Professor within the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division. This position offers an opportunity to engage with a diverse and collaborative faculty, contributing to both clinical practice and research in critical care medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations of inpatients and outpatients.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures in a specialized procedural suite, including EBUS and navigational bronchoscopies, thoracenteses, and pleural catheter placements.
  • Participate in clinical duties within the ICU, on Pulmonary Consults, and in the outpatient clinic.
  • Engage in research activities, with negotiable protected time for basic, clinical, or translational research.

Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for a New York State Medical License.
  • Eligibility for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Pulmonary Diseases and/or Critical Care Medicine.
  • Compliance with University and New York State health requirements.
