POSITION: Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist who is open to traveling for full-time commercial construction assignments nationwide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in the following areas:

  • Carpentry: Expertise in partition framing with metal or wood studs, installation of cabinetry and countertops, and fitting of doors and windows.
  • Painting: Experience in both interior and exterior painting.
  • Flooring: Skilled in the installation of VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base.

Basic knowledge in the following trades is also required:

  • Plumbing: Capable of replacing and installing sinks, faucets, toilets, and managing basic drainage and water lines (licensed plumbers are encouraged to apply).
  • Electrical: Proficient in replacing and installing light fixtures, switches, and outlets, with the ability to perform basic data connections and diagnose minor electrical issues (licensed electricians are encouraged to apply).
  • HVAC: Familiarity with refrigeration and preventive maintenance service calls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Engagement in commercial renovations and buildouts.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Adherence to OSHA regulations.
  • Professional appearance and effective communication skills to foster customer relationships.
  • Attention to detail in repairs, including thorough documentation of measurements, photographs, recommendations, and estimates.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and on-call as required by workload and emergencies.
  • Willingness to travel and work overnight shifts as necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
  • Possession of basic construction hand tools.
  • Completion of OSHA 10-hour training or willingness to complete it within 3 months of employment (cost covered by the employer).
