Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Lead Groomer to join our team. As a Lead Groomer, you will be responsible for leading the operations of our mobile grooming business, building relationships with clients, and championing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Onboard new associates and groomers, ensuring they complete all training requirements and annual safety certifications.
  • Drive our state-of-the-art mobile grooming van to scheduled appointments in the Hartford area.
  • Ensure professional services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling, are provided according to customer preferences and breed standards.
  • Develop a local business growth and advertising strategy with other members of Furry Land and oversee its execution.
  • Schedule and manage appointments, ensuring timely arrivals and efficient use of time to maximize productivity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a professional pet groomer with a deep understanding of various grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and coat types.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with the ability to drive a grooming van safely and efficiently.
  • Passion for working with animals and a demonstrated ability to handle pets of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pet owners and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality grooming services.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet appointment schedules.
  • Ability to handle and lift all breed sizes.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours based on customer demand.
