Position Summary:

The role of a Windstream technician on the buried drop team involves the installation of underground copper, fiber, and coaxial cables that connect the network hub to the residences of customers. Our team is dedicated to leveraging technology to enhance customer connectivity with innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install underground copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cables to establish connections from the network to customer homes.
  • Utilize technical skills and a customer-centric approach to foster meaningful connections.
  • Interpret technical drawings, complete necessary documentation, and promote Windstream's offerings.
  • Provide training to new hires and operate machinery for cable burial.
Qualifications:
  • Capability to walk extensive distances, work overtime, and lift substantial weights.
  • Fundamental technology and mathematical skills, along with the ability to differentiate colors.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, a safe driving history, and the ability to complete required training successfully.
