SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a crucial role in providing essential care to patients while adhering to the standards set by healthcare regulations. The PCT utilizes keen observational skills to assess and report on patients' physical and emotional well-being. Responsibilities include delivering and documenting daily care, ensuring patient comfort and safety, engaging in care planning activities, and following strict infection control measures. The PCT is expected to take initiative, embrace responsibilities, and actively participate in quality improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Experience: At least six (6) months of relevant experience
- Necessary Certification: Valid California PCT Certification, BLS; ABM/MAB/CPI certification (to be obtained within 90 days of employment)
- Language Proficiency: Strong command of English (both spoken and written)
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform heavy lifting and maintain sharp observational skills for patient care tasks
