Medical Assistant I or II

The Medical Assistant I or II under the guidance of our healthcare team members, provides high-quality patient care and support services in a fast-paced clinical environment. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be bilingual, and have a strong passion for delivering patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures as directed.
- Measure and record patient-specific information, accurately documenting in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Administer medications and injections under provider direction, documenting in the EMR.
- Prepare and restock examination rooms daily, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Participate in training programs to improve patient care, such as learning evidence-based practice approaches.
- Address patient and family needs, considering cultural sensitivity and effective communication skills.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Ability to obtain and record accurate information.
- Intermediate computer skills, including data entry and typing.
- Possesses knowledge of instrumentation used in lab point-of-care testing.
Preferred Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certificate or LPN License.
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role may be considered in lieu of a certificate/license.
Essential Functions:
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Able to assist patients onto and off of exam tables when asked or directed.
