The estimated salary package for this position is approximately $5,000-$6,500 per week, based on bill rate at the time of posting. Bill rates can change frequently and without notice, and exact pay packages may vary based on guaranteed hours, distance traveled, and customizations available for travelers.
About the Role
As a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse, you will provide nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Your responsibilities will include:
*Assuming responsibility for an assigned group of patients
*Documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
*Assisting physician in the examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
*Obtaining and monitoring physiological data of patients, observing physiological manifestations of patients, and intervening when necessary
*Administering medication as prescribed and initiating, regulating, and monitoring intravenous infusions and blood products
You will work closely with the family and patient to share care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge. You will also inform patients and families of hospital procedures, make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel, and delegate tasks to support staff.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
*A current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
*Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
*PALS (American Heart Association) required within 1 year of hire
*Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
A Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program is preferred. Some computer skills are also required.
