We're seeking a skilled RF communications engineer to join our team at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of wireless systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze wireless communications systems and signal processing techniques
  • Develop and implement low-level embedded system programming skills in C and assembly
  • Work with RF lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
  • Collaborate with expert hardware and software reverse engineers to share RF domain expertise
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of antenna design, link budgets, modulation schemes, signal detection, error correction codes, multiplexing, and interleaving
  • Proficiency in software defined radio (SDR) frameworks and concepts
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance and ultimately a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
