Position Title: Forklift Operator

Role Summary:

The Forklift Operator is tasked with the proficient handling and operation of machinery such as forklifts and loaders, while ensuring a secure working atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains equipment in accordance with company standards and contractual obligations.
  • Operates machinery safely and effectively.
  • Assists in the upkeep of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Accurately documents vehicle information.
  • Exhibits a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Adheres to safety guidelines to foster a secure work environment.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading vehicles as necessary.
  • Completes training and safety protocols successfully.
  • Performs additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to operate basic machinery.
  • Adept at multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • At least one year of experience operating loaders or forklifts; certification is preferred.

Physical and Job Site Requirements:

  • Ability to complete hiring documentation electronically.
  • May need to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess the strength and stamina to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain.
  • Full range of motion consistent with age is required.
  • Capability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
  • Adequate hearing to respond to commands and alerts.
  • Visual acuity and depth perception necessary for working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Safety footwear is mandatory.
