Bus Driver

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team at Federal Way Public Schools. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as on field trips and extracurricular activities.

• Operate a school bus in accordance with state laws and district policies.
• Follow district pupil management policies and procedures.
• Assist students loading and unloading from the bus as needed.
• Operate wheelchair lift and secure wheelchair for safe transportation.
• Clean and service the bus to include interior/exterior sweeping, washing, and fueling.

• High School Diploma
• Must be 21 years of age with five years previous vehicle driving experience
• Valid Washington State Driver's License; Commercial Driver's License, Class B with appropriate endorsements and a clean 5-year driving abstract

• Criminal background clearance
• School bus driver authorization from OSPI
• Annual abstract of driving record from the Department of Licensing
• CPR and First Aid certification
• SECURE training

The work environment is typically outdoors, with occasional exposure to inclement weather. The noise level is usually moderate. The employee is required to properly wear any personal protection equipment supplied by the district.
