Candidates should have foundational experience in hotel or residential maintenance. Proficiency in painting and general handyman skills is essential, as we will provide training for additional responsibilities. We are in search of a committed technician who takes pride in maintaining equipment and building systems, ensuring that our facilities remain clean and operational.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute minor repairs, including fixing broken locks and clearing plumbing blockages.
  • Inspect control panels and plumbing systems to diagnose issues.
  • Replace ceiling fans and perform painting tasks.
  • Install or repair furniture and lighting fixtures.
  • Carry out maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs.
  • Assess and troubleshoot equipment and systems, including air conditioning units.
  • Verify the functionality of safety systems, such as fire alarms.
  • Organize repair tasks to minimize disruption to guests.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the motel to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Address miscellaneous maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Report significant issues to the facilities manager.

Required Skills

  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina are essential.
  • Basic understanding of in-room air conditioning units, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.

Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour
