We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our team at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. As a member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for assessing patients' nursing care needs, evaluating the effectiveness of care provided, and integrating nursing theory and research into clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness
  • Collaboratively coordinate the continuum of care across settings
  • Develop patient care plans based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions
  • Implement patient care plans according to patient priorities, which includes interventions identified through nursing diagnoses
  • Document/reports interventions and patient/family response

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, or a Master's Degree in Nursing is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions
