We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Facilities Management Team as a temporary part-time Electrical Intern. This eight-month immersive job experience will provide you with hands-on training and exposure to a broad range of activities in the Electrical trades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with electrical maintenance and repairs, including replacing light fixtures and pulling wire.
  • Work with specialized electrical testing and monitoring equipment, instrumentation equipment, and tools of the trade.
  • Perform installation of electrical systems, including emergency power generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, breakers, HVAC, and circuits.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective electrical maintenance and repairs to facility generation and transmission equipment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED and aptitude for building trades.
  • Enrolled in an Electrical trade school.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as computerized building automation systems.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to excessive noise from equipment.
  • Work in both indoor office environments and outdoor conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, wind, and light rain.
