Position Overview

The Sonnenalp Hotel is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Year-Round Income Auditor. This role is integral to our financial operations, focusing on accurate income auditing across various departments.

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 with potential for a 10% performance bonus.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

The Income Auditor will be responsible for:

  • Conducting daily reconciliations of sales for the hotel and golf club, including managing bank deposits.
  • Reviewing and rectifying variances in daily PMS and POS integrations.
  • Coordinating collection efforts through communication with guests and members, utilizing internal escalation processes for challenging accounts.
  • Addressing inquiries from guests and members promptly.
  • Preparing weekly aging reports and conducting necessary follow-ups.
  • Participating in weekly meetings at the golf club.
  • Ensuring accurate processing of gift cards and making necessary adjustments.
  • Responding to credit card disputes in a timely manner.
  • Assisting the accounting team with month-end closing activities.
  • Contributing positively to team dynamics by engaging in special projects as required.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2-4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on accounts receivable or income auditing being a plus.
Essential Skills

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • A solid grasp of receivables and computerized accounting systems.
  • High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook).
  • The ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with guests, members, colleagues, and management.
  • A willingness to develop skills and knowledge continuously.
Physical Requirements

This role involves sedentary work, requiring the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
