Become a vital part of GSS Westbrook, where we pride ourselves on our close-knit relationships with residents and their families. Our facility offers private resident rooms, with options for couples.
This part-time nursing role includes:
- Additional $2.50/hr night shift differential and $1.25/hr weekend differential
- 12-hour Night Shifts: 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
- Scheduled for 2 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers professional nursing care to residents of all ages in a long-term care setting, under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician. The LPN applies nursing principles relevant to the clinical environment and demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing practice. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Documenting resident interactions and care outcomes
- Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals
- Providing education and counseling to residents and families
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program is required, with an associate degree preferred. Candidates must hold an unencumbered LPN license and maintain required competencies and certifications. Experience in long-term care is advantageous.
