Position Overview

Marine Travelift Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our 1st shift team. In this role, you will be integral to our machining operations, focusing on programming and operating an HNK horizontal boring machine.

Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:45 AM-3:15 PM; Friday 6:45 AM-10:45 AM (1/2 day Fridays)

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate the HNK CNC machine for milling, cutting, and drilling metal sheets.
  • Utilize tools such as trammels, dividers, protractors, compasses, squares, and punches for precise setup and programming.
  • Interpret blueprints to strategize the pre-machining, sub-weldments, and main weldments processes.
  • Employ overhead and jib cranes to position steel components accurately on the machine.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A technical degree in CNC operation or relevant experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is advantageous.
  • Experience in reading blueprints and technical drawings is preferred but can be taught.
  • Proficiency in using a tape measure and converting measurements into decimals is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
