Job SummaryWe are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team on a PRN basis. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and other pain-producing clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and other pain-producing clinical procedures
- Work in a collaborative model with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff who care for patients
- Document patient procedures and incidents
- Assess patient before, during, and after administering anesthesia
- Ensure patient safety and administer anesthesia following accepted practice techniques
- Act as a liaison to surgeons, anesthesiologists, co-workers, patients, and families
- Participate in department quality assurance initiatives and activities of professional development
- Master's degree from a school of nurse anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
- License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice
- Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain diseases. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
The incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be an occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning, and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
