We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Ochsner Health System in Lafayette, LA. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and anesthesia services to our patients.
Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and other pain-producing clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including residents, fellows, attendings, and staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Assess patients before, during, and after administering anesthesia to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Document patient procedures and incidents accurately and thoroughly.
- Participate in department quality assurance initiatives and activities of professional development.
- Master's degree from a school of nurse anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
- License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice.
- Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
The incumbent works in a patient care area; works in an area where patients enter; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain diseases. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
