Head Lifeguard

Protect the safety and well-being of patrons at the aquatics facility by enforcing rules and regulations. Assist in supervising, hiring, training, and scheduling part-time/seasonal Lifeguard staff.

• Perform Lifeguard duties, ensuring swimmers are well supervised and minimizing hazardous situations.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as necessary, applying first aid and performing water rescues.
• Assist in supervising and hiring part-time/seasonal Lifeguard staff.
• Develop and evaluate part-time/seasonal Lifeguard staff.
• Plan, implement, and enforce Lifeguard staff rotation and schedules.
• Recommend and enforce safety rules and regulations to patrons.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks for successful aquatics program operations.
• Assist with managing pool operations, maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

• CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard Certifications.
• Valid Texas driver's license and driving record in compliance with Town policy.
• One year of experience as a Lifeguard preferred.
• Ability to work various hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Regular Part Time employees accrue 3.34 hours of vacation leave and 4 hours of sick leave per month.
• Participation in the Texas Municipal Retirement System for employees working 1,000 hours annually.
