Position Overview:
As a dedicated professional, you will play a crucial role in providing crisis intervention services to youths in the community. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in Social Work with an LSW or a Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling with an LPC/LSW or higher, along with relevant experience in crisis services.

Key Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, you will:

  • Conduct mental health evaluations and provide stabilization and crisis intervention for individuals and families facing urgent social, psychological, or environmental challenges.
  • Respond to emergency service requests, including phone inquiries and walk-in clients.
  • Assess clients through face-to-face interviews to identify presenting issues and determine the necessity of hospitalization.
  • If hospitalization is required, facilitate the necessary arrangements; if not, offer counseling to clients and their immediate families to develop a transition plan, including a safety strategy.
  • Make referrals to other agency programs or external service providers as clinically appropriate.
  • Promote and uphold the protocols for crisis intervention services within the community.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance the continuum of crisis services.
  • Participate in local and state meetings to address crisis trends and contribute to the planning and implementation of services.
  • Complete necessary data collection and reporting as mandated by local boards and grants.
