Heavy Equipment Technician

H&E Equipment Services is seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and other essential components.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including engines, transmissions, and other critical components of heavy machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions.
- Implement preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-7 years of relevant experience necessary.
- Factory, vocational, or mechanical training a plus.
- Experience working with heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, compactors, and other types of aerial and earthmoving equipment.
