Senior Continuous Improvement Manager

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in defining, developing, and implementing our Quality Management System (QMS) frameworks. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving process improvements, enhancing employee and customer satisfaction, and promoting a culture of excellence throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct site's QMS/CI conversion activities
- Deploy and coach the organization on QMS/CI tools and facilitate Kaizen events
- Assist in creating key metrics for groups company-wide and develop performance measurements
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional problem-solving and process improvement teams
- Identify improvement opportunities across functional areas and Value Streams
- Support the development of QMS/CI candidates
- Develop 5S/model cell methodologies to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
- Facilitate root cause identification/corrective and preventive actions, including the implementation of temporary countermeasures throughout the business
- Coordinate and champion the identification of Non-Value Added (NVA) activities throughout the business
- Coordinate and lead facility layout and design projects
- Create and update standard playbooks
- Demonstrate experience with Hoshin Kanri/Strategic Policy Deployment
- Help define and promote the company's QMS/CI vision, methodology, practices, and tooling to enhance overall performance
- Kaizen funnel and sustainment management
- Coach and mentor teams providing QMS/CI transformation strategy and implementation advice
- Develop and maintain QMS/CI training material and curriculum to enable continued development of internal capability in the application of these materials
- Quantify and publicize the realized benefits of QMS/CI improvements as it applies to the company's financial performance
- Provide leadership and technical expertise in the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of facility-related infrastructure. Support facility modifications and capital improvement projects. Collaborate in the coordination and execution of building space allocations.
- Audit existing processes and systems to assess/determine required improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Technical, or Business-related discipline with 4-5 years of experience. MBA or Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device/pharmaceutical/IVD preferred
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Lean tools/methodologies concepts - Lean Certification highly desirable
- Strong project and time management skills
- Toyota Production System experience highly desirable
- Ability to translate performance improvement to financial performance
- Ability to utilize presentation skills to influence others to meet project objectives
- Demonstrated knowledge of process controls techniques, including statistical process control and data analysis techniques
