Overview

Sunbelt Staffing, a leading healthcare staffing agency, is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide exceptional services to a school district.

About the Job

This is a contract position for the upcoming academic year, offering a great opportunity to work with a supportive team of professionals and make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required
  • Full time (will also consider qualified part time applicants)
  • K-12th grade

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement strategies to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in accordance with state and federal regulations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited program
  • Current Maine SLP License or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
