Electrical Apprentice Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join our team at Parsons, a leading provider of digital solutions for the defense, security, and infrastructure markets.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Apprentice will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems in compliance with Department of State regulations and contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install conduit installation, including electrical metallic tubing (EMT) and rigid conduit pipe (RGS), to facilitate wiring.
  • Perform tasks under the supervision of a Journeyman level electrician.
  • Utilize power tools and equipment, including drills, saws, and conduit benders, to complete installation tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Operate man lifts and other aerial equipment as needed to access installation locations at varying heights.
  • Learn to read and interpret schematics and electrical drawings to plan and execute installations accurately.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalency.
  • Able to pass Basic Skills Test, Multi-Craft Aptitude Test, Color Identification Test, and Drug Screen.
  • Possession of at least a Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a yearly medical clearance for overseas work.
